Community Guidelines

We put together a few basic guidelines for how to behave in our community. Freddie is your queer space to find friends, events, and queer businesses. We aim to make the app feel fun and safe - and we need your help in achieving both.

Freddie is for adults only (18+)

• If you think someone is underage, please email us immediately at support@freddiesocial.com.

• Accurate birthdays are required for the safety of everyone.

Be yourself

• Pretending to be someone else is not allowed. You are only allowed to have 1 personal account.

• We don’t support VOIP phone numbers on Freddie. Simply put, scammers love using VOIP to create scam accounts and in an effort to curb that, we don’t support these types of phone numbers.

Don't be a spammer / scammer

• Engage thoughtfully when reaching out to others.

• Sending unsolicited messages, images, or repeatedly messaging users you don’t know—like sending “Hey” to multiple people—is considered spam.

• Users who use Freddie to target and scam others—whether for money, tickets, personal data, or anything else—will be banned. In cases where the law has been broken, we will work with victims to provide support and take appropriate action.

• Scamming or spamming will result in a lifetime ban.

We support mutual aid

• We made Freddie to help support our community and we support mutual aid calls to the community.

• When asking for mutual aid, you should not promise to give a donor anything in return for their donation. Mutual aid requests that promise favors, items, nudes, etc., in exchange for a donation are not allowed on Freddie.

Solicitation is not allowed

• Unfortunately, we don’t support you selling any services using Freddie. This includes sex or sex-adjacent services.

• Coercion to obtain sensitive info or compromising imagery from a user is not allowed. Any form of cyber exploitation is not allowed. If you are experiencing coercion, exploitation, or anything that you think feels like that - please alert us and your local authorities right away.

Illegal activities are not allowed

• Don’t commit crimes or engage in questionable behaviors on Freddie. Just don’t.

Be respectful to one another

• We do not tolerate bullying, racism, harassment, xenophobia, violence, stalking, fatphobia, transphobia, scamming, spamming, cyber exploitation, pornography, or pedophilia. You will be kicked off Freddie for life if you engage in any of this behavior.

• You may encounter other users who you don’t agree with, and that’s okay. But note that not liking someone doesn’t give you a free pass to falsely accuse someone of engaging in problematic or illegal behaviors. When you report someone, ensure that you are doing it based on real problematic behaviors that put the community at risk, not because you just don’t like them. There is a block feature for that instead. If you think someone is perpetuating harmful behavior towards others, please report them and email us at support@freddiesocial.com.

• Familiarize yourself with our Privacy Policy & Terms of Service.

• If you see something, say something. Reporting tools are there to keep our community safe.

• Keep communication civil and supportive. We’re here to foster a positive environment for everyone.
